Almost two months to the day since I last visited my 195 project, but I am still very much interested in it, and in getting it done...too many things pulling in so many directions.  I hope to put some hours toward it this week and push toward getting it done in the next two weeks or so.  Probably have said that before, but I'm gonna try!  I ordered a Hangar 9 RV-8 ARF last week that will be in at the end of the month, so I really want to be finished with the 195 before then!

So anyway, first thing tonight, Rich and I devised a plan to get rid of the rub between the two pushrods for the elevator and rudder.  We had hoped that building a step for the servo to sit on would be enough (green arrow), but it still wasn't clearing, so I decided to put a slight bend in the metal to raise it further (red arrows), and that was the ticket!

Then we moved toward finding the approximate cg of the airplane on Rich's cg machine...this is why the 195 is at his house, and not mine!

With the battery, speed control, and receiver inside, we adjusted things until we had it about level.  The battery is going to have to be WAY up front to keep it in cg, so I made a shelf for it to sit on next...

That is now glued in place, and the battery can eventually be velcro'd in.  I'll probably build a forward tray lip to keep the battery from sliding forward in case of an emergency.  Good suggestion from Rich...
