The push to get the 195 done continues...At the end of last week, I painted the cowl with five coats of True Red...it turned out GREAT!!

We aren't sure what is going on with the magnets that we used to attach the cowl, but they do seem weaker at this point, so we will probably change those out to stronger ones.  Weird.

Then we started working on installing the electronics.  Velcro is the material of choice for this.

Then the motor wires were tied to the fire wall to keep them out of the way and secure.

Then Rich worked on installing the windshield for me after a call to John Valentine...the kit designer and manufacturer...Rich is a friend of his.  I had no clue how to do this, so I gladly turned it over to Rich for this!  We fit the windshield, and I wanted to make sure the "dash" of the airplane looked appropriate, so we removed the windshield to put down some black sticker covering.  Then the base of the windshield was taped in place with chrome sticker tape.

It looks absolutely fantastic like this!

Finally tonight, we worked on getting the shape approximately close to the real thing, but it's hard making a flat piece of clear plastic curve properly.  It's close, and we were happy enough with it to glue it down.

Next will be the side windows and the wheel pants...and I think it's done after that!
