3/3/2010 Tonight, I am proclaiming that the two and a half year 195 RC project is basically DONE!!! I say basically because it's more or less ready to fly, but there are some things to do for "pre-flight". Before I get to those pics, I did work on finishing the windshield tonight by placing some chrome stickers to make the frame...pardon the dust, I had just milled out the magnet holes for new, bigger magnets to hold the cowl on.
Then we, mostly Rich, started covering the wheel pants. This sucked, but we got one done tonight.
The second one will go quicker, and it will be done before first flight (we have plenty of time before the weather really breaks for RC flying). The last couple of things we need to do before calling it flight ready, is to recheck the incidence and weight & balance. Once that is done, we'll program my radio, charge everything up, throw the wheel pants on, screw the wing on, and fly it! Pics of the final product, sans wheel pants...
Time to start my Hangar 9 RV-8 ARF!! Previous Next |
