I had one small goal for the evening tonight, and that was to get the firewall drilled to the side skins. I did get it done, but I spent some time making sure it is the proper 5/8" spacing on each side.
When I was satisfied that all was right, I drilled and cleco'd the holes on each side.
Everything turned out fine, so I continued with drilling the forward skin to longeron to bracket holes.
There was one thing that brought some concern tonight after I had clamped the brackets down nice and tight, but I *think* this is just the powercoating cracking. The steel bracket should be properly split underneath, but I am going to research this a bit.
