4/3/2007 Another pretty cool night tonight. Seeing all these big pieces go together is really something to look at! I fit the F-770 side skins tonight. This took some finagling to do, mainly because I don't think my floor is perfectly level. Not a big deal, I just had to shim the tail a bit, and that took care of it.
Another sign that I did the longerons correctly...they come right up to where they are supposed to. I may actually have to trim a hair from the front to fit the firewall. The bend matches the skin perfectly as well!
Here's a couple of inside shots showing the skins in position with the longerons lined up.
To finish out the night, I prepped the armrests and drilled those to the skins, followed by deburring the holes. Those are set aside until much later in the build.
So, that's it for several days I think. I *might* be able to work a little bit on Thursday, but we have plans tomorrow night, and we're heading to St. Louis for the weekend on Friday. 2.0 hours |
