500 Days!  Today was the 500th day I've worked on the project!  500/1,009 available days...

The paint on the tailwheel group had over 24 hours to dry, so tonight I installed it.  The color is Metallic Silver by Rustoleum.  I also put the hub caps on.  They are paint-able, but I like the bare finish.  It's pretty sweet how the hub caps work...they don't spin with the wheel as the bearing is inside the cap.  I makes it appear as though the wheel is spinning on a race around the cap.

Then I worked on fitting the FW plate.  There were a few holes that needed some small adjustment with the awl since I couldn't match drill it to the FW.  Didn't take any pics of this.

The only other thing I did tonight was to cleco the FW 100% to the skins.  I want to make sure there is no chance of any of the flanges getting dinged or bent somehow while the fuselage is rolling on it's gear.  I highly doubt anything would happen if I didn't do this, but why not take the precaution?

If my dad is available tomorrow night, we'll drop it on it's gear.
