4.14.2009 I got a short amount of time in on the project tonight after working on the mower a bit...probably gonna have to mow for the first time this coming weekend... I forgot about the fusible link that is supposed to go in between the switch for the alternator and the main buss, so I did that first tonight. Here are the parts for a fusible link (thanks to Rob for the wire and sleeve...he had extra)...a butt splice, a sleeve of fiberglass, 22awg wire (for 18awg wire off the switch, always 4 gauges smaller than the wiring it is protecting), and a terminal.
I really meant to take pics along the way of putting that link in, but completely forgot. Here it is installed though...
The only other thing I worked on tonight, was to re-wire the E-buss switch. I was looking over the Z-11 diagram, and realized the used too small a gauge for that switch. I had it done in 20, and it's supposed to be 16. Five minutes later it was switched out. 1.0 hour |
