4/29/2010 It was SO windy here today!! Gusts to 53mph!! Didn't make for a good evening in the hangar because it was also fairly warm, and opening the hangar with those winds was out of the question...it was a bit warm in the hangar with no airflow. I spent some time there anyway working on securing the tubing inside the cabin for the cowl pins. I used an Adel clamp in each side...
Time for a fit test! After a bit of a struggle to get the cowl in place by myself, I checked the pin alignment, and it lines up PERFECTLY on both sides!! It's a bit of a pain to get the pin thru the firewall screw, but it's not a deal breaker.
Here you can see the pin is in place...goes all the way to the front with ease! We'll see what happens with the top cowl on! ;o)

I also started thinking about how to re-wire the Hobbs meter since I'm not using the oil pressure sender. I think I'm going to run it to the alternator switch... 1.5 hours |
