I got a bit of a late start at the hangar tonight, so I didn't get as much done as I had hoped.  I pulled the bottom cowl back off the airplane in order to get the air inlet tube made.  This is done with Neoprene rubber that comes with the cowl kit.  The glue is awesome stuff...

One coat goes on and sits for five minutes, then a second coat goes on and sits for ten minutes.

Then the two ends are pressed together, and they almost instantly form a bond.  Very cool stuff!  I then clamped the tube to the inlet ring on the cowl.

The air box side does not get a clamp as it slides over the inlet, and is sealed by the rubber.

Before I run the engine with the cowl in place, I really do need to get the inside painted with epoxy primer...I'm gonna try and get that done at work on Monday...

Next I re-wired the Hobbs power after a phone call from Rob to confirm the idea of running it to the alternator switch.  That was an easy fix, works great, and will give me almost identical time as the oil pressure sender would.

Lastly tonight, I sealed the fuel line to fuselage entry with some clear RTV.

I globbed it inside and out to make a nice seal, and to secure the line.
