8/13/2006 I went to a really cool fly-in today over at The Last Resort, Wilson Field, in Indiana (pics can be seen here). But before I went to that I got some early morning work done on the airplane. I started this morning with the wiring of the landing lights...and they work!
Then I removed the tanks from the spars, tightened the tie down bars down, and cleco installed the LE's.
With those cleco'd in place, it was time to start the riveting process. I decided to follow the crowd in the first step, which is to use pulled LP4-3 rivets to attach the LE ribs to the spar. This is still rather difficult to do, but it works better than trying to get an offset rivet set in there. The specks on the spar is primer overspray.
