Happy 27th Birthday to my Sister Brenna today!!
Tonight I got started on the lenses for both leading edges. I started with the left side, then did the exact same thing for the right side. First, I marked and cut the plexi lens on the band saw, and fit it to the leading edge to make sure I did cut it correctly.
Then I smoothed the lens with the SB wheel and an edge deurring tool. Next, I put my "handle" tape in place to be able to pull the lens nice and tight for drilling the #40 pilot holes. Then drilled the holes, and cleco'd the lens in place.
Then it gets removed, cleaned up, then reinstalled, and the holes are drilled out to #30.
Both sides look the same, so no need for duplicate images. The lenses are removed for now to drill them to 5/32 and countersink them. Maybe tomorrow...
