Well, I got the wing root fairing situation figured out...Sort of my fault, sort of Van's fault.  Either way, it's resolved, and no big deal.  I was sent the non-prepunched, and uncut fairing for an RV-6, part number WRF-601.  With a couple phone calls, we got it straightened out, and the 6 part is on it's way back, and I have two F-799's coming my way.  Lesson learned...ALWAYS have a part number!!!

Anyway, tonight I worked on a couple of minor loose ends since I'm down to nothing to do until Tuesday with the fairings get here.  My fitting for the left fuel line came in yesterday, so I installed that to check the fit.

Here's an overall shot of the routing with all fittings in place.

Then I started on the F-785A center brace for the 705 bulkhead.  I was going to leave this out, but Gus at Van's told me I really should put it in.  They do know best, so in it goes!

First things first...I had to cut the notch in the baggage center cover for the flap center bushing.  Kind of hard to see, but that's a good thing...it fits snug.

After debluing and deburring, I made the F-785B angle that attaches at the bottom, then drilled and riveted it to the A part.

After the 785A was drilled to the top of the 705 bulkhead, I riveted the platenuts to it where screws will attach it there.

And here it is cleco'd in place.

I took it out to be painted and set aside.  I'm sure I'll be climbing in the back at some point soon, and this would just make things harder if it were left in.
