8/10/2008 This morning my friend John Sanizzarro and I went out to the airport for breakfast at CJ's (our airport restaurant). After we had filled up on Omelets and pancakes, he hoped on his motorcycle, and continued on his trek back home to the east coast. I went to Image to finish cleaning and painting parts. First I worked on cleaning up the push rod tubes, and intake tubes, then painted those.
I used some long cotter pins pushed in to shallow drilled holes in the wood to stand up the push rod tubes. While those were drying, I finished cleaning the rest of the stuff that came off the engine, such as the oil return lines, and the bottom cylinder baffling. Engine work is done, and sometime this week after the paint is cured, we'll begin reassembly. 1.5 hours |
