8/11/2008 No engine work this week. The paint is dry, but takes 7 days to cure. I don't want to do anything to it until it's cured. Next week... Today my FWF order from Van's arrived. It's a pretty small box since I deleted most of it. There's still a little over a grand in this box though...
Unpacked and on two benches, here's what's in it-PC680 battery, tray, control cables, fittings, tubing, etc...
The baffle kit also came in the box-
Here's the really tough part to swallow; in this pic, do you see $76 worth of stuff?
How 'bout in this pic...do you see $85 worth of stuff?
I'm almost tempted to call Van's to make sure those charges are right. Anyway, after inventory was complete, I got back to working on the firewall. The plate nut I was waiting for came in the kit, and I installed that first. I didn't take a pic, but it's the other one of two that holds the oil pressure line clamp to the firewall Then I made the 7127D solenoid doubler.
There are two plate nuts that get installed on the back side of this doubler for AN4 bolts.
Then I riveted the doubler to the firewall, and drilled the holes for the other two plate nuts.
That's about all I had time for tonight. 1.5 hours |
