Today I started with the battery box install.  The paint had dried, and I needed to get the mounting brackets riveted to the box.  The left side was drilled and riveted on the table.

After that bracket was riveted on, I cleco'd the box to the firewall.

The right side bracket was also cleco'd thru the bolt hole to make sure it matched up.

Then I cleco clamped the bracket to the box, and drilled the first couple of holes to set it in position.

Back on the bench, I riveted that bracket to the box, then temporarily installed the box with cleco's.  I don't want to install the firewall center cover yet, so I'll hold the box temporarily for now.

Next on the list is the gascolator doubler install.  I deburred that rough piece first, then positioned it, and drilled it to the firewall from the inside.

After deburring and dimpling, I riveted the doubler in solo.  Now that I'm nearing the end of the riveting on the project, I feel comfortable doing this solo...it only took almost the whole project to get there...

Then I installed the gascolator using firewall sealant for the fitting and bolt holes.

None of the fittings on the gascolator are tight at this point, but they are in place to keep contaminants out.  I'll bring some Tight Seal home from work sometime this week to install those for good.
