Engine assembly finished!  This afternoon after work, Ray and I quickly wrapped up the remaining assembly of the engine by installing the oil return lines, and the intake tubes..  But first, earlier in the day I had a chance to start learning a new skill set in the build.  Safety wiring.  This is somewhat of an art to do it properly, and I have plenty of people around me to show me the ropes.  Out of the six or so "safeties" I did this afternoon, I had four done right, and two I had to redo.  Here are a couple pics...

In that second pic, you can also see the torque seal that I applied to the cylinder base nuts today.

Now to the good stuff!  Here are a few pics of the finished engine...a tour around it!

It went from this-

To this!

What a GREAT feeling it is to have this done!!  As soon as I have enough help from the guys in the shop, we'll get it off the engine stand, and I'll do the engine preservation and get it ready to bring home.

In other news...I had two more UPS deliveries today.  One box was my Light Speed CDI Plasma II+ electronic ignition.  Here's everything that comes with it-

I also sent Klaus my flywheel to have it drilled for the magnet, and it should be here tomorrow.  I'll have to paint the flywheel, but that'll be easy!

The other box to arrive today was my MGL Enigma EFIS!  Here's all that came with it-

And a close up of the box-

I had ordered the compass and AHRS units earlier, so they are not in the picture.

This was a fun day!!
