This morning started out by running out to the airport to pick up an engine hoist that Rob had in his hangar, using Larry's truck (thanks guys!).  After we got back to the house and unloaded that, I went to work on getting a couple more firewall penetrations done.  I used a 3/4" conduit punch to make the holes.  Works well, but this is stainless steel, and it ALWAYS sucks to work with.  Here's the punch from the outside...

And from the inside...

The hole underneath has just been drilled to 3/4" with the Unibit.

Then I installed the first eyeball fitting.  This will be the throttle cable location.

The hole underneath it is for carb heat.

At this point, Tom Swearingen, Sr. came over to give my project another Tech Counselor visit.

Then I went back to work on the hole for the mixture cable (lowest one).

I still have one more hole to make for an eyeball fitting, which is for the cabin heat, but I'm not sure of the location of that yet.

Tomorrow is the planned engine hanging day, so I also prepped and positioned things for tomorrow...

Big day comin' up!!
