8/12/2009 I had just a short while after work to spend in the hangar before heading home to mow the stupid grass. I wanted to get the rear of the plenum at the oil recess cut and re-glassed tonight, so I worked on that first.
I 'glassed it on the bench to avoid having to cover the engine with plastic and tape...
The shape isn't crucial back there so as long as it's close enough to screw in place, it'll be fine. While that was set aside to set up, I trimmed up the baffles a bit more. I have decided to weathervane again...lights. They are going back in the airplane. I decided that I don't want to be stuck somewhere just because it's getting dark, so I bought a pair of Aeroled AeroSUN 1600's at Oshkosh for landing/recognition lights...
...and I bought another set of Jeff Bordelon lights from my buddy Joe Ferraro, who has decided on another lighting option. They came via FedEx truck today, but I didn't get a pic of them. They look like this though (my last set of lights...)-
I'm currently looking at LED strobe solutions, but I'm not sure I'm gonna spend the money on those...we'll see. The current landing lights that I have already installed, will be pulled soon... 1.25 hours |
