This morning I finished drilling the spinner to the bulkheads.  Nothing special here since the initial holes were already drilled.  I put a total of 15 holes in the back plate, and six in the front bulkhead.

I can't remember why I took this picture...but here it is anyway!

Then I removed the spinner to finish filing and sanding the cut outs.  Lots of small cuts to make it nice and smooth.  I also sanded a good 1/4" off the rear of the spinner with a bench sander.  Came out nice!

The spinner then went back on the prop so I could start the gap plates.  I used .032 safety wire to get the basic shape down in the same fashion I did to cut out the prop blade slots.  Then I transferred that shape to paper and cut it out to make any additional adjustments.

Using the bandsaw, I cut three gap plates from some .063.  I'll need to put a bend in each one, and sand them all to their final shapes, then rivet them to the backplate, and make a tab for some screws and nut plates.

Probably won't be much work getting done this week with Christmas coming, and the amount of shopping we have left to do...ugh.
