FINALLY! I started wiring! It's not much, but I am glad that I finally have something to show for my time (and Rob's!) put in in drawing this stuff out. I started with a very simple hook up...the RDAC (Remote Data Acquisition Computer) unit for the Enigma. It's a simple matter of inserting three wires, and tightening the screws.
Then I plugged the main power harness Dsub connector in to the back of the unit. Also shown in this pic is the RDAC unit. It will get mounted either on the cabin side of the firewall, or a panel rib.
The main power connector wires are cut so I need to place an order for some splice connectors. I'll need them for many other things anyway, so they will be on the way soon. The round thing the main power wires are wrapped around is a ferrite bead, used to eliminate any interference to the Enigma. Most of the wires coming out of the back of the unit will get these.
The last thing I did tonight was pull the starter button out of the panel to solder the wires to it.
I will slide some heat shrink over those next time, and the button can then go back in the panel. SWEET!
