2/4/2009 Tonight I re-soldered the starter button wires...I didn't do them correctly the first time. After reading the tips page on Nuckolls' website, I realized the mistake, and made it right. Then I slid the button back in place...
...and hooked up the wire to the main buss.
That's about the layout of the buss'. The battery buss will be behind the sub-panel, and the other two will be in a hinged plate behind the panel. Here's how I am labeling the wires-
Printing everything out really small off a computer and using clear heat shrink is an elegantly cheap solution to labeling all the wires. Then I went back to working on Enigma wiring. I decided to use Nuckolls' method of solder-splicing wires wrapped in heat shrink for the five wires coming off the main power plug. Again, cheap and easy, and if it comes recommended from him, it's good enough for me! I only did the power and ground wires tonight, but that means that I can power this thing up! I thought I had a dead battery, but it had just enough juice to power it a few times. FREAKIN' SWEET!!!
Obviously nothing on the screen is correct since I haven't programmed anything, the RDAC unit has nothing hooked to it, and the compass and AHRS aren't hooked up, but this was still pretty damn sweet! 2.0 hours |
