I'm starting to enjoy wiring...weird...First today I did the outside air temp wire runs.  I was going to put the probe in the tail, but decided today that I am going to put it in the left wing at the second or third inspection panel.  In the Enigma main power harness, there are two wires for OAT, red and green.  The other end of the OAT is a probe encased in heat shrink from the manufacturer with red and green wires there as well.  I needed to splice the long wire runs between the two.  24awg is used on both ends.  I don't have any 24, but I have an abundance of 20awg, so I used that.  I'm not sure if it's the smell of the heat shrink when it works, or the heat gun, but I'm already sick (almost literally) of the smell...smells like burnt garlic bread in a toaster oven.  How's that for a description!

I decided to take a break from Enigma wiring for a while...I need to research a bit more how the AHRS units are connected, and don't want to get in to encoder plug wiring yet.  So, I moved over to the Monroy ATD-200 traffic detector.  The plugs do not come wired, so I had to set those up, and solder wires to the plugs after taking them apart.  I'm getting pretty good at soldering, and really enjoy that part of this process.

That's the power plug, and I did the same thing for the audio plug, and ended up with this...

I need to pick up some RG-400 coax, and bug my buddy Rob for a BNC crimping tool so I can do the antenna hookup.  I'm not using the little rubber antenna that comes with it, instead I have a transponder/DME blade antenna that I'm going to run the coax to.

Looks like I need to do the Hobbs meter soon before I can't get to it!
