Finally after about two weeks away from the airplane, I was able to put some time in on it tonight. I've been enjoying some time away from the RV by finishing up my Cessna 195 RC airplane...which is about ready to fly...and some good quality time with Brit and both of our families.
Tonight I was the program presenter to the Private Pilot ground school class we have going on at work. The class of about 15 people came down to the hangar to listen to me talk RV and about homebuilding in general. Pretty cool!
Before and after that, I worked on getting the new IOX installed that MGL exchanged for me. I'm still getting the same readings tho, so I still have some trouble shooting to do here. On the status page, it is showing the IOX is not connected...which it is...
On the main screen, near the bottom left, my volt reading (labeled current right now) is reading 300...I have no idea what that means...
...and on the engine page, the Main supply and Backup supply appear to be correct (and the IOX would have to be connected to read this!) What the heck!!?? (Most of the rest of the info on this page isn't set yet...)
Other than that, I am still working on tidying up the wiring, working behind the panel now, but no pics of that...
I called for a flight insurance quote today from Jenny at Nation Air...we'll see if I'm still excited about flying after I get the premium news.
