I originally planned to spend a good 6 or 7 hours on the airplane today, but with a forecast that looks pretty good for the next week or so, I wanted to get the car washed to get the salt off of it.  After that was done, I went to work on getting the primer plunger hooked up to the in and out lines.  This will be a bit of a pain to check for the annual, but I like the location...

It's completely out of the way, and I always felt like this was a bit of an eyesore when it is mounted in the panel.  With it mounted there, I did have some concern that the plunger would come in to contact with the fuel lines...

One VERY valuable tool that I don't have, but our shop does, is a borescope.  I've used this thing several times during the project, and this was a great way to check the clearance.  I put the camera in and was able to get a good look at how things interface with each other with the cover cleco'd in place.  There is no imaging function in this borescope, but I put my camera up to the lens, and took a picture.  It's not clear, but the gap is easily seen here, which is about a half inch.  Plenty of room!

Satisfied with that for now, I turned my attention to the fuel pump cover, and figuring out a way to run the throttle, mixture, and carb heat cables thru the cover.  The manila folder once again comes in handy here.  I made a template of the cover, and used a Sharpie and a hobby knife to get the lines marked and cut.  Then I transfered that to the cover as seen below.

A test fit proves that this method worked great!  All the cables fit thru just as they should.

Of course, I'm not going to just run them thru to where they would rub on the cover, and eventually get cut thru from vibration, so I made the holes a bit larger to put grommets in.  These will also be split to slide them over the cables.  Should work great!

The last item on the list today was to get the placards put on the panel.
