First off tonight, I worked on cutting the front rod end bearing from the steering link since I striped the threads the other night.  I used a cutoff wheel in the Dremel, and it was off in less than five minutes.

Then I went to work on the crotch strap kit.  First I made the flange extensions from some scrap metal off another airplane...

Then after some measuring and drilling, I riveted them to the right side brackets.

What a pain in the ass these are to get drilled in to the floor when the airplane is already built...would have been MUCH easier to do way back when I built the center section.  This part REALLY sucked, and I have to do it all over again for the left side...

I used a .125 shim, as noted in the plans, to get the spacing right for the belts.

There is still a lot to do on this side, but I think I'll go ahead and get the left side to this point next time to get the crappy part done.
