Phew!  The holidays are always a blur, and time on the project has been limited.  I have been reading a lot; specifically the Aero Electric Connection book.  I'm on my third or fourth try reading this thing, and it seems like things are clicking better this time.

Today I had the day off work, and I planned several hours on the panel after working on several things around the house, but an unexpected trip to buy a new refrigerator for the chapter hangar after I got a call saying that the old one had quit, sorta put a clip on my allotted time.  I started with the cover for the hole for the autopilot.  Over the holiday's, I bought a TruTrak Pictoral Pilot autopilot from a builder in California.  I thought all was well, but found out the screw holes for it are different than the ADI Pilot II that I had the panel cut for.

Rather than making mods, I decided to get rid of it, and just wait on the ADI until later.  When that will be, I have no idea...my airplane funds are tapped out right now, so I made a cover for the hole today.

Because the ADI Pilot has two knobs on the bottom, I used those cutout locations to make tabs to slide the bottom of the cover in to place.  This way, I'll use the same screws that will attach the top of the cover on the bottom to make it look symmetrical.

I had just a few minutes before Brit came home from work, so I grabbed the Enigma from it's box, and threw the four screws in place to mount it, and slid the A210 and 320A in place.

Pretty slick!  Next I'll put the Monroy ATD 200 traffic detector in, and the 295 GPS, then finish the switch panel.  Then the fun with wiring begins!
