1/25/2010 To start out tonight, I finished up tightening the hardware for the controls. I had the aileron pushrods, the aft end of the elevator pushrod, and the flap weldment to actuator arms to do. I also loosened the elevator nuts a little bit to make them more "RV-like" in their feel. I just over tightened them yesterday, and the clamp pressure on the rod end bearings caused some friction. With that out of the way, I decided to face the music and start drilling for the nut plates for the emp fairing.
I hate nut plates. Yep, said it again. I got them all drilled, except the aft most hole on the horizontal stabilizer. That one will need a single lug nut plate, and I didn't have any in #6 handy to use as a template. 3.0 hours |
