7/20/2006 We had our summer cookout/potluck at the Chapter meeting tonight, but since the "meeting" got over earlier than usual, and Brit was at the kennel club, I worked on landing lights! I finished smoothing the right side, and then set it aside.
You can see very well in those pics that the hole is rounded on the top, and more square on the bottom. I just did it for looks and to be different, but this way will still give the advantage of better lighting below, and less reflecting to the prop disc. We'll see... With the right side hole finished, I started the left side. No real reason for not continuing on the right, I just thought I'd work these side by side. Here is the template in place that I failed to get a pic of last night.
And then the rough hole was cut with the Dremel and a cutting disk, and the smoothing began.
It's still really hot here, but hopefully after I get back from Oshkosh next week, we'll have some relief, and more time can be spent in the garage.. 1.25 hours |
