7/9/2006 I'm gonna be sore tomorrow! I think I used my upper arm strength (what I have anyway...) more than I have in the project thus far. I machine countersunk the main spars today, then deburred the inside of the spars. It was hard to lift my arms from the low sitting position to deburr after holding the drill to countersink, even though I have a lightweight drill!!
Then I "touched up" the rear spar dimples with the deburring tool to help the skin sit better. After that, I began the leading edges. These start with the W-423 joint plates being drilled for platenuts, then deburred and dimpled.
I put the platenuts on the outside for drilling for easier access. Here's a shot of the joint plates dimpled for the 3/32 rivets. I'll have to borrow the #8 dimple dies from work tomorrow for the screw holes.
