Today I got started on the baggage rear bulkhead skins.  These are ugly corrugated skins, but I guess it's necessary for rigidity.  But before I get to that, I did drill a couple of holes in the 706 bulkhead for battery cable (if I use the Egg Subaru engine, I need to put the batteries in the back) and wiring.  The one for wires is part of the plans and runs thru the baggage channel.  I nicked a rivet cutting that hole, but it's just holding the baggage rib in place, not structural in any way.

Anyway, back to the baggage bulkhead...the bottom half goes on easily since there are pre-punched holes to use as guides.  Just cleco and drill...

The top half comes square, but needs to be rounded to fit the contour of the top of the fuselage.  Here, you can see I have it marked for trimming.

After I had it all trimmed and smoothed out, I measured all the holes to be drilled, and made pilot holes to drill to the 706 bulkhead.

After the holes were enlarged to #19 for the screws that will hold these in place, I removed both of them, and worked on the slots for the seatbelt cables.

I've been holding off as long as I could to put the seatbelt anchors in the floor, but it seems that in the next few steps, I'll be installing the rear seat pans...so, the anchors will have to go in in the next day or so...
