7/10/2007 Remember just last night the center tunnel cover that I was working on? Well, that one won't work for me since it's made for the electric flaps that came with the fuselage, and I didn't even think about it until today at work. Since I won't be using electric flaps, that cover won't work. So, this is my first project/challenge to overcome with the manual flap installation. I set out tonight to make a one piece cover for the entire tunnel between the seats. I made it, but in the end, I found cracks in the bends. I drilled holes in the corners, but I still ended up with cracks. So, I'll be remaking this again tomorrow. It took a tremendous amount of measuring and angle finding, but it turned out nice (too bad I have to do it all again!). Here are the pics anyway... I started with a flat piece of AL-
And ended up with this-
Looks nice, but unfortunately, there are cracks, and I won't use it. It's not a structural piece by any means, but I just don't like it. I did take some cool pics of the clouds that accompanied the storm we had tonight...
