7/30/2007 Back from Oshkosh, and had a GREAT time!! I'll have pictures up on another page sometime soon... Tonight, I managed to get an hour in after catching up on yard work. This will *probably* be the last entry for a bit, while I take some time to finish several house projects that have been on the back burner for too long. I installed the aileron boots tonight, and started by riveting the platenuts to the retainer ring, then priming them.
Then I taped the boots in place around the hole, with the screws lined up in a relief slot that I cut.
And here is the finished product.
From the inside...
...and the left side.
These should go a long way to help keep the cabin draft free in the cold winter months. I think this is the last thing on my list of things to do before mating the wings, so this is a good time to take a break. Signing off until next time...hopefully by the end of August (if I'm being optimistic...) 1.0 hour |
