Sanding.  I don't know how you 'glass builders out there do it.

This overall shot is after an hour of sanding.  Does it look any different than it did yesterday?  Didn't think so.  It is nice and smooth though!

A few detail shots of the 'glass...

A couple pieces chipped out while sanding-

Those will be filled over...

The ends of the fiberglass on each side, right-

Left-

That side is nicer than the right, and will require less filler to smooth it.

Here's a funny pic...at least I thought it was...

The West Systems mixing bowl is reusable every time if the epoxy is left to cure.  It pops right out!

Short night as I'm not sure what to do next.  The instructions say to put another thick layer of epoxy on, but I'm not sure if I should just do epoxy or add flox or microballoons.  Time to read...

I did lift the canopy for the first time since starting the 'glass.  It REALLY made a difference in the stiffness of the thing!  I also wanted to check the caulking, and that came out really nice.

And last, my engine is supposed to be here tomorrow, not Wednesday!  Sweet!

1.0 hour
