My dad came over again this afternoon to help finish up this part of riveting the aft fuselage.  While waiting for him to come over, I decided to make a little holder for the tie down rings.  This will be mounted somewhere in the cockpit so the rings don't have to be out on the wing all the time or just stuffed somewhere in the cockpit.  Brian Meyette did this a while back, and I wrote it down as one of those ideas that I had to copy.  Thanks Brian!  I still have to tap the threads in, but I'll have to do that at work since I don't have a tap and die set.

Right about the time I finished that, my dad showed up and we got to work on setting 396 rivets along the J channel lines and the bulkheads.  You'll notice in the pics that we didn't go all the way to the top (bottom in the pics) of the skins.  This is because the skin needs to be able to be opened a bit to fit the longerons later.  I am so happy with how these rivets are coming out on the fuselage.  I did use one blind rivet all the way at the end of the bottom J channel because I just could not get any of my bars on it to buck it.  We tried 'em all, and it just wouldn't go.  Won't really see it anyway since it's below the horizontal stabilizer.

Totally sweet to be this far in to the fuselage only a month and a half after getting it!  Boating season is coming though...time will be a little more limited this year when the weather is nice.
