3/13/2007 I started out tonight by making two additional F-716B's for the seat ribs. The plans call for two, but I want four in order to be able to install (and remove, if needed) the control columns in one piece.
The I prepped the seat ribs by deburring, flanging, and fluting. These aren't too bad from the factory, but a little tweaking was needed to get them flat.
Then I started making the cutouts called for to get the control columns installed. Like I said, I am doing two per side rather than one for a total of four. I used a hole saw to make the first hole, then the bandsaw for the straight cuts.
Those were left rough cut for tonight. I'm really tired for some reason tonight, so I went in a little early. 2.0 hours |
