3/24/2007 Today was pretty exciting! Not really because of my project, but I went to visit my friend Ben Schneider up in Pontiac to see his progress on his 13B Renesis rotary installation. What a sweet engine he is putting together! Great motivation to see another project in person that is in front of me progress-wise. I did get some work done on mine today. I started dimpling center section parts today with the seat ribs and baggage ribs. I then prepped them for paint, and shot some white satin paint/primer on them. I know these will be covered up, but I wanted them to be white, so I painted them white. Don't ask me why...I'm not sure myself, I just thought it looked nice.
Since those need to do some drying, I went ahead and dimpled the bottom flanges of the 704 and 705 bulkheads. No issues here whatsoever, but remember DO NOT dimple those four holes that are partcially countersunk on the outside.
I hope to get some work in tomorrow, but I need to get the boat ready for the water, and I'm putting a new floor cover in it as well. Oh, and one more thing...I've decided on an engine, and I'm sending my deposit on Monday to order it. More details later...maybe... :o) Let's see how many emails I get with that little nugget of info... 2.25 hours |
