Tonight was panel painting night.  I ran to Radio Shack today to get a 1/8" stereo plug for my iPod and a mini momentary switch to panel mount for the passenger push to talk.  I figured out where I wanted those, drilled the holes, and began prep for painting the panel.

Then I cleaned it all up, and sprayed on some silver hammered finish Rustoleum.  I debated about this for a long time, and ended up going with my very first color choice that I had thought of a couple years ago.  It came down to this or tan, but I didn't want the interior to be overkill with tan.  This will match the exterior really well I think, and I'm really happy with the finish of the hammered silver.

A close up of the hammered finish...

So hopefully the panel will go in the airplane for the final time this weekend, and I'll begin installing avionics for the last time.  One thing I haven't decided on yet though, is whether or not I'm going to paint the areas in the interior that won't be covered with interior pieces with hammered silver or leave it black.
