3/4/2009 This evening I went over to Larry's house to help with his fuselage top skins on his RV-7, then I came home and worked on finishing up the panel wiring on mine. First I wired the battery/alternator switch up (no pics), then I re-wired the Molex connector for the Icom after Stein recommended that I remove the two wires jammed in one connector pin. 18awg wires are too big for the pins, and while I got 'em in, he said they would fail in short order. So, I soldered splices in to replace the jumpers.
With that out of the way...the bench wiring of the panel is proclaimed DONE!! I have more to do, but the panel needs to be in the airplane to finish up. So I started disassembling the panel. Here's a shot of all the wires bundled for storage for a short while.
This weekend is garage reorganization weekend, and with the warmer temps coming, I'll be back to work on the airframe soon! 2.0 hours |
