I typed in all green this day last year...not gonna make that a tradition. ;o)  Tonight I had Ray check to make sure I had the flywheel set properly at TDC on #1.  I know I did it before, but I wanted to be sure before I put the prop on for good.  All was done correctly, so I put the prop on tonight.  I was going to torque the bolts down, but found out that I don't have the thin socket needed to set the torque on the extension to flywheel flange bolts.  There isn't enough room to get my standard socket between that and the prop extension flange.  So...nothing got torque tonight.

Moving back to the cabin, I riveted the left side spar cover in place.  I only got three rivets in the right side before running out of LP3-4's.  I'm pretty sure I have more down in my hangar, but I'm lazy on all this stuff right now, so I didn't go get them.  Here's a nice blurry pic of the left side.

The other day, Ray noticed that I had installed my AOA probe backwards.  I had it so the holes were facing straight down (green arrows).  Won't do much good that way...so I reversed it, and put it on the correct way (red arrows-air flow).

Makes more sense this way too because the probe is the shape of an airfoil, and the way I had it, it would've been more of a drag device.  Yuck!

So no more work until sometime next week now.  I am helping Brit with dog stuff all weekend, and tomorrow is Chapter meeting night.  I feel REALLY blah about this right now...the cost of flying is getting more and more real every day.  You'd think I would be somewhat used to this as we've owned two airplanes in the past...but not by ourselves.
