3/5/2010 My seatbelts came in from Crow this week. I haven't taken them out of the neatly packed boxes yet, but they are the right color!
This week FLEW by...back to work tonight on the fuel pump cover. I put it in place after getting the grommets smashed in the slits I made. That wasn't fun, but it will work great to keep the cables from rubbing anything.
Then I snuggled down in to the baggage compartment to secure the wires that run thru the center tunnel there, and put the cover back in place. I also tie wrapped the strobe wire on the left side to the flap tube (green arrow).
While I was back there, I got the wires between the 706 and 707 bulkheads wrapped as well. This pic reminds me...I need to by some D cell batteries for the ELT!
After that, I finally tracked down the proper screw for the hole up in the front of the engine case that I needed to put a clamp in place to hold the LSI crank sensor wire. I still need to put some Loctite on the threads.
I should be able to get some good time in on the airplane this weekend...Brit is gone again with the dogs. I do have several other things I want to get done/started on around the house, so we'll see how things go. I did tell Pat (our Service Manager) that I would have the airplane out of the hangar at the end of March...which means that's when I'm shooting for a first engine start!! 2.5 hours |
