5/29/2006 I finally got to use the DRDT-2 today! What a nice tool! It's so quiet, and the action is very smooth. It's a very repetitive motion, like so many things in this project, but the lack of noise and consistent dimples make it worth it. I dimpled both skins with it, then used the pneu squeezer for the ribs.
Then I deburred and dimpled the tank stiffeners and deburred the joint plate screw holes. At this point, I ran out to work to get a couple of tubes of sealant and the #8 dimple dies for the screw holes. I dimpled the screw holes, and was preparing to start sealing, but I forgot the sealant gun and tip. So, that will have to wait until tomorrow. 3.5 hours |
