May 2006 Wings May 1st Drilled top wing skins May 2nd Cleco'd bottoms wing skins to skeleton May 4th Installed new air hoses, removed bottom skins, cleco'd leading edges to spar May 6th Fitted joint plate on both leading edges May 7th Drilled holes for tie down rings, started on fuel tanks and Z brackets May 8th Z brackets May 9th Fit Z brackets to spar May 10th Fit tanks to spar May 11th Removed tanks, left baffles on for drilling to the Z brackets May 13th Removed baffles from the Z brackets, drilled tank ribs to skin May 14th Drilled screw holes to joint plate May 15th Countersunk tank skin along the baffle, started tank skin stiffeners May 16th Deburred tank stiffeners, cleco'd stiffeners to skins May 21st Started the T-405 tank attach angle May 22nd Rough cut the T-405 angles May 23rd Smoothed and drilled T-405's to ribs, cut access hole in inboard rib, cleco'd plates to ribs May 24th Fit right pick up tube, drilled retainer ring for access plate, installed those, drilled filler neck to the skin May 25th Made vent line clips, drilled tank drain flange to skin May 27th Deburred tank skins, made trap door in left tank May 29th Dimpled tank skins May 30th Sealed/riveted stiffeners to bottom tank skin May 31st Sealed/riveted drain flange to bottom skin
