5/1/2007 Tonight was a slow piddly night in the garage. I'm tired from an early a.m. departure today, and I'm workin' slow today. I started by drilling the floor stiffeners to the 704 cover ribs and the firewall angles with the handy Avery angle drill attachment I borrowed from my bud Carl Peters.
I think that'll do it for the forward section, except the auxiliary longeron that I am replacing. Who knows how long Van's will take to get that to me!! Next, I moved back to the baggage area to drill the side ribs in place. There were a couple of nutplates that had to be riveted in place first, then they were cleco'd and drilled to the skin.
This was repeated for the other side as well. 1.75 hours |
