Tonight was a slow piddly night in the garage. I'm tired from an early a.m. departure today, and I'm workin' slow today. I started by drilling the floor stiffeners to the 704 cover ribs and the firewall angles with the handy Avery angle drill attachment I borrowed from my bud Carl Peters.
I think that'll do it for the forward section, except the auxiliary longeron that I am replacing. Who knows how long Van's will take to get that to me!!
Next, I moved back to the baggage area to drill the side ribs in place. There were a couple of nutplates that had to be riveted in place first, then they were cleco'd and drilled to the skin.
This was repeated for the other side as well.
