Tonight I sorta jumped all over the place.  I didn't really follow any order to things, and worked ahead on one part.  I'll get to that in a minute.  I started tonight by cleaning the longerons with MEK, and re-deburred a few holes.  Then I primed and painted both of them.

Then I worked on some miscellaneous dimpling for platenuts.  After that is where I worked a bit ahead, only to make this easier on me.  There are 12 bolts that fill holes in the 704 forward section of the bulkhead where the A model gear leg weldments would go.  Since I won't have those, I decided to put the bolts in now while access is very easy.  The lower bolts are still a bit tough to get to, but with a magnet, it's easier to get the washers and bolts on.  These were torque'd and sealed.  Six are shown here, and there are six more on the other side.

Then I painted the F-684 gussets...

...and made lightening holes in the 7101 gear web gussets.  This is not called for in the plans, but these things are heavy, and I've seen several other builders do this for tailwheel models.

To finish up the night, I painted more stuff.  My thought is that if I paint this stuff before installing it, I'll get a neat contrast between the black paint and gold rivets.

I also took the 706 bulkhead off again to paint the rim of it, then reinstalled it.
