5/11/2009 My Nuvite order came today! I'll be getting a start on polishing the bottoms of the wings very soon...maybe this week!
I'm really wanting to finish everything that I can inside the cabin before I move back to FWF stuff, so tonight I finished the bracket for the AHRS mount. I made a piece of angle out of some .040, and made some bends in it with the fluting pliers to angle the piece properly to line up with the mount and the 706 gusset. The piece looks all jacked up, but the bends are intentional...
Here's where it attaches to the gusset with one pop rivet...
That AHRS mount is SUPER solid now! Next I started working on the interior engine primer lines that will bring fuel to the manual plunger pump, and then back to the FW and out to the engine.
I didn't do anything with the ends of the copper tubing you can't see in this pic since I'm not sure exactly how long I'll need them until I put the center cover on, and put the fuel selector cover in place (which houses the pump). This picture reminds me that I need to either order a short run of SS braided line for the fuel pump to gascolator run, or make the run from AL tubing... 1.5 hours |
