5/19/2009 Tonight I had to start with the segment in the fuel system between the gascolator and the fuel flow. This was something that I just had to conquer because I suck at bending tubing. So, on the FOURTH try, I got it right!
Then it was time to polish. I want to get this wing bottom all done with one pass of G6, then I'll start working in sections with G6 to get the lines out. I ran out of the sample size of G6 tonight, but I did order a pound of it, so I hope to be back to polishing again this weekend. You could see where I stopped if I didn't put the yellow line in, but I did everything above the yellow line tonight.
I kinda cleaned up some of the "polishing area" of the hangar, then I ran the compass magnetometer wiring thru that wing...here's the DB connector that will hook up the sensor after I mount it in the tip somewhere.
The last thing I did was to start wiring the fuel flow sensor. The data wire is hooked with a resistor, but I didn't get the power and ground wires run tonight.
Seems like there are a MILLION things to do!! 3.0 hours |
