5/20/2009 Quick night tonight...before I went to the hangar, I stopped by a couple stores to get some corn starch and some fleece material so I can clean the metal after a polish pass without scratching the surface. By the time I got to the hangar, I was already wanting to go back home, so I just did a couple things... First, I ran the ground wire for the fuel flow transducer (no pics), then I test fit the spinner and top cowl.
The length of the cowl will be perfect with plenty to trim off the end. After fitting this, I realized that I'm probably going to have to do the spinner first to get the best possible alignment of the cowl. Here's my temporary setup to do the test fits...I'm gonna hot glue these on later when it's time to do it for real.
One hour...woohoo. I did spend a bit of time reading the first couple of pages of the cowl install instructions, and then sat there and thought about how much there is to do...90% down, 90% to go... 1.0 hour |
