11/20/2006 I didn't get a whole lot done this evening, but I did manage to suit up and get the right wing tip gelcoat sanded. I made the mess a little easier on myself by doing it in the backyard. I probably annoyed my neighbors for twenty minutes or so while the Dremel was running...oh well, they've all been running their leaf blowers at odd hours of the day, and I don't complain about that! Here's a bunch of pics of ME! No...that's not snow. It's gelcoat dust...and, no, I'm not wearing white gloves...
Here's a good shot of the fiberglass layer underneath the thick gelcoat layer.
The Dremel with a medium sanding drum on it makes quick work of the gelcoat. 0.75 hours |
