11/28/2006 Tonight I worked on the right tip rib by getting it glassed in place. Again, easy, but messy and sticky. I'm REALLY glad I'm not building a 'glass airplane (some may know that a Velocity was my original choice...). I don't mind working with it, but a whole airplane!? Not for me.
With the right side curing, I took the left side tip and worked the pin in to each hinge. They went in without any problems, and I hope that means they'll work right when I fit them to the wings...
The last thing I did tonight was to deblue and deburr the edges of the close-out ribs that fit in the trailing edge of each tip.
I have to get up at 4am tomorrow for a King Air trip, so I'm calling it an early night... 1.25 hours |
