This morning I reinstalled the sub panel.  I think the primer looks much better than the bare aluminum!

There are two rivets that the plans say to wait to set until after the sub panel is drilled at the top of the 902 bulkhead.  I still can't figure out why, but since the sub panel is now drilled and ready to rivet, I set those two rivets on either side.

The F-704K side covers will get pop riveted in place sometime down the road, but I wanted to install some platenuts at the top of the covers in case I wanted to mount something on either side later on.  I found this idea on one of the builder website's (may have been Checoway's, but can't remember), and I made a note of it to do this at some point.  These will get painted at some point as well.

A close up of the platenuts.

Then mid afternoon, I went over to my bud Rob Johnson's house to finish my panel layout in AutoCAD.  We started this a couple months ago, but I didn't have my layout finalized at the time.  Well, now it's finalized, and I'm down to just a couple things to purchase to complete it.  So today, we hammered it out (in about THREE hours-it seems simple, but believe me, it's NOT), and I have a file that is ready to take to the water jet cutter!  That should happen sometime this week, depending on their schedule.

3.5 hours
